Operating principles of Forest Action UK:

• To remain a small, lean organisation in the UK with no or very limited build-up of staff or physical resources
  
  
• To act as a conduit for funds from UK and other sources that can be channelled towards to work of our 'sister' organisations - initially ForestAction Nepal, and subsequently other similar organisations in other countries
  
  
• To be guided by the philosophy and approach of our 'sister' organisations - initially ForestAction Nepal, and subsequently other similar organisations in other countries
  
  
• To maintain mutually transparent and open relationships with ForestAction Nepal (and subsequently with other sister organisations)
  
  
• To build on and wherever possible to promote and strengthen Scotland-Nepal linkages reflecting the Scottish origins of Forest Action UK
  
  
• To utilise any resources obtained to build up the capacities for action of our 'sister' organisations. Initially this will be ForestAction Nepal, but later may also include other similar organisations in other countries.
